About Coppertop & Stockists

At Coppertop Jewellery, I am dedicated to creating beautiful, nature inspired handmade silver and copper jewellery that not only captivates the eye but also aligns with sustainable practices. Based in Sheffield, my mission is to provide unique pieces that reflect both artistry of the natural world and environmental responsibility.

I came to Sheffield in 1993 to study Medicine, but have known the city all my life having my grandparents living here (part of the reason I came!) and love the mixture of city life and abundant green spaces. I've always enjoys doing arts and crafts, and the mindful nature of jewellery making has been particuIarly beneficial for my mental health, making me a great advocate of using creativity to support mental health.

I have been making jewellery using precious metal clay and silversmithing practices over the past five years. I take great pleasure in the visual of the natural world from the pattern on a petal to stunning sweeping landscapes, and so this is my main influence for my work. I use natural materials or the local landscape to help create many of my pieces. My passion for jewellery making is found in every piece, and this spurred my creation of Coppertop Jewellery after a 25 year career working as a doctor came to a close. In 2024 I was delighted to have been invited to join the Guild of Master Craftmen and complete my Diploma in Silver Jewellery with the Jewellers Academy.

My commitment to sustainability ensures that the metal used is from recycled sources wherever possible, significantly reducing the ecological footprint and involvement with conflict mining. I prioritize supporting UK based suppliers to support local business and reduce travel. My jewellery boxes are eco-friendly, produced from materials from FSC forests and I currently use Royal Mail for shipping as they boast lowest average parcel carbon footprint.
